"Have Your Say"  Reviews

Here is what you had to say about the long waiting lists
on NHS and the affects you have experienced

I would like to comment on my experience of Central Lancashire "Moving Well (Ascenti) May 2019.

I was referred for back problems but felt a considerable amount of time was spent answering questions, some relevant, some not.  The treatment offered consisted only of "exercises" some of which required to be done on the floor.  As I could not get down on the floor, this seemed pointless.

I was given an online account in order to log in and follow the on-screen exercises which also proved to be unhelpful.

Overall, I attended approximately 10 sessions and although I tried very hard with the exercises, I did not benefit from this provision.  When you are in pain and have difficulty moving, you need treatment that helps, not exercises that you cannot even do.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Anonymous,  Lancashire

"I feel sorry for the NHS as they are under so much pressure.  The only way to get treatment is to go private but a lot of people cannot afford this.  The government need to do more to help the NHS"                                                                                                                                                   Anonymous, Lancashire

"I had been waiting since August 2021 for physiotherapy and kept getting letters to say they were too busy.  I finally got one in March 2022 after moving to a different county."                Anonymous, Cheshire

"I was sent to Central Lancashire "Moving Well," got virtually no treatment, just a few exercises to do. Discharged after 2nd appointment. With a second referral I was told that physiotherapy is little use for arthritis.  A scan was arranged but waited a long time for the results which I was given via phone call with nothing further in writing."                                                                                    Anonymous, Lancashire

I suffered with sciatica during pregnancy and was referred to physio by my GP.  I finally received my referral for December but as baby was due in November, I decided to seek private treatment.  Debbie at Total Physio in Wheelton was happy to help and gave me great advice.  She did an amazing job in helping me with the pain.                                                                                             Anonymous, Lancashire

I needed physiotherapy but was only offered a telephone service.  After being refused an X-ray from the GP,  I visited Debbie at Total Physio in Wheelton where I was diagnosed with hip failure.  I have now had two hip replacements and recovering well.  I am thankful for all Debbie did for me.

"My disabled daughter has been waiting 18 months for an appointment and is in pain every month.  MSK have not been much help in keeping us up to date."                                     Anonymous, Lancashire
