As we believe that mind and body are connected, this new service compliments our "Total" ethos and philosophy. Jayne Herbert MBACP, will be joining us and offering a completely confidential one to one counselling service. She will offer a free non-obligatory half hour consultation where you can decide whether her person centered therapy suits your needs. Jayne believes her gentle approach can guide you towards a more grounded, confident and happier inner world from which to move forward.
Do you need an MRI scan?
If you think you would benefit from an MRI scan this can be arranged for you quickly and at a very competitive price. We have the ability to request an MRI scan from a number of different venues. Simply make an initial consultation appointment so that we can assess you and make the referral. Your scan will be organised at a time and place to suit you. You will be provided with a disc and report so that we can discuss the results and the treatment plan at a follow-up appointment. Please call practice for further details.

Prenatal Pilates Coming Soon
Following on the success of our regular group pilates classes, we have a new announcement regarding the start of prenatal pilates. We hope to roll out this new class as soon as possible. We will let you know here when prenatal pilates become available!
Welcome New Apprentice!
David has now finished his work experience with us at Totalphysio, he is now working alongside up as part of the admin team! We are currently welcoming a new apprentice, who will begin working with us very soon!
We are glad to announce that Kirsty Kim has successfully carried out her sponsored skydive for Alzheimer's. We at Totalphysio have been proud to support her along the way, and commend her for being brave enough to carry out the skydive! We will be uploading a video of her skydive soon!
Totalphysio has gone paperlight! We have achieved this through our new advanced software system, which we can use to carry out all sorts of tasks, make notes, and store details. By embracing this new technology, it has allowed us to drastically reduce the amount of paper we use, making us far more eco-friendly!
The software package has made us much more efficient. Because of this, we have been able to concentrate on improving our services, as well as spending more time helping patients!

New Staff Member: Joshua Proudfoot
We are very happy to introduce Joshua Proudfoot to Totalphysio. Joshua will be joining us to offer sports massage. You may also see Joshua helping out behind reception. Some of you may have already met Joshua as he has has done some work experience with us as part of his physiotherapy training. As well as holding a diploma in sports massage, Joshua is a second year physiotherapy student at Manchester University.

We are delighted to welcome Catherine Almond back to Totalphysio. Catherine will be available on Wednesdays starting from the 17th April.
Physio First Conference 2019
Debbie is looking forward to attending this year’s annual Physiofirst conference on 6/4/19 in Nottingham. It will be a day packed full of lectures from eminent speakers with latest information about the research driving evidence-based physiotherapy . Topics on this year’s agenda will include a patient centred approach to treating pain, fascial manipulation, current evidence regarding the use of electrotherapy, and a multidisciplinary approach to the management of persistent low back pain
It is also an opportunity to visit the trade stands and see the latest physiotherapy relevant products.
She looks forward to sharing this information with colleagues and patients on her return.
David's Presentation 15/3/19
David has been praised for his presentation to 40 employers at the Civic Centre in Leyland on the 7th March, 2019. He was representing work experience placements, and explaining the initiative to employers and businesses, which is very important for when compulsory work placements are introduced in 2020. David was able to share his personal experiences of the success of the scheme since his arrival at Total Physio in November 2018.
